Lightbulb Replacement
In accordance with your signed lease addendum it is the tenant's responsibility to replace all lightbulbs that are not in common areas. This includes specialty bulbs.
In a rare instance a bulb goes out in which you cannot change due to having extremely high ceilings you may wish to buy a tool like the one below. These tools are very handy even in instances without high ceilings as they make the changing out of lightbulbs a breeze.
However, standard ceilings where a bulb can be replaced by either safely standing on a chair or ladder are still the tenant's responsibility.
If you encounter a situation where you do not feel safe changing the bulb due to the location e.g. on a stairway or you run into issues with situations where you cannot properly identify how to change the bulb such as in a ceiling fan please reach out to us and we can speak to your landlord to see how they would like to proceed.
